Functionality & Safety
How do petWALK pet doors work?
Not a flap mechanism, but a controlled door.
Unlike conventional pet doors, which are opened by pushing with the head and represent a permanent weak point, petWALK follows a fundamentally different design principle. The pet door works fully automatically and only opens when it is actually used.
A thermally insulated door leaf is moved by a powerful motor and, when closed, pressed firmly against surrounding seals. The door is also mechanically locked. The result is a completely airtight seal and a significantly higher level of security than with conventional flaps.

Controlled access instead of open passage
The petWALK pet door is fully electronic. When your pet approaches, sensors detect the movement and, depending on the settings, use RFID chip recognition to check if it is a registered animal. Only then is the door released and opens automatically. After your pet has passed through, it closes and locks itself.
This keeps access controlled while preventing unauthorized animals from entering – a crucial difference compared to a traditional flap.
Safety through design and fittings
The pet door is equipped with robust, RC2-certified fittings , ensuring increased resistance to mechanical stress. Additionally, the system detects unauthorized opening attempts and can signal them audibly or forward them to existing alarm systems.
Easy to use
Intuitive instead of complicated
Large, easily understandable symbols and a clear display show the current operating status at all times. A quick glance is all it takes to see whether the door is unlocked, locked, or time-restricted. The most important functions can be controlled simply and intuitively – either via the remote control or optionally via petWALK.control.

Full control & advanced functions
Control that adapts to your everyday life
Thanks to the electromechanical control and RFID-based access control, functions are possible that traditional flaps do not offer. You can define individual access rules, block access at certain times, or selectively restrict usage.
Access control can also be used effectively indoors – for example, to prevent small children from going outside unsupervised. Additionally, petWALK can be integrated into existing alarm and security systems, so you are always informed.
