Firmware Update 5.2: Adjustable Sound Volume
The latest version includes all updates from previous versions. Additional features introduced in version 5.2 include:
- Signal and warning tones: The volume can be adjusted (quieter/louder) or muted (off).
After updating to version 5.2, the firmware cannot be reverted to an earlier version. Please note that each update automatically includes all new features and improvements from previous versions.
Firmware Update 5.1: Improved anti-pinch protection
Enhanced door leaf locking mechanism
- Starting with firmware 5.1 , the door leaf automatically opens a few centimeters before locking, then closes again and only locks after the second closing. This automatic opening automatically releases a trapped object (e.g., a tail tip) and prevents it from remaining trapped.

Further improvements in firmware 5.2:
In addition to the optimized locking logic, version 5.2 brings further changes:
- Reading time of the RFID antenna: approx. 30 seconds
- Signal and warning tones: The volume is adjustable (quieter/louder/off) and remain active throughout the entire closing process.
Additional notes:
- Please ensure that the slip clutch is correctly adjusted. If it does not engage properly, tighten it if necessary. Detailed maintenance information can be found in our blog article:
Maintenance of the petWALK pet door
- Updating to version 5.1 requires a control board running software version 4.0 or higher. If your pet door uses an older version , the update will not be offered for installation in the petWALK app .
After updating to version 5.1, the firmware can no longer be rolled back to an earlier version.
