    Tunnel

    petWALK vs. Flap

    • If you want to install the petWALK pet door in thick masonry, our variable tunnel system will help you. It is available in different lengths in 10cm increments and can be shortened to the exact installation size during installation.
    • The tunnel panels are made of HPL (High Pressure Laminate), a highly resilient and moisture-resistant material. They have a white and a grey side and can be used on both sides. For example, you can choose a grey floor panel and white walls, making the floor less susceptible to dirt while still making the tunnel bright and friendly.
    • The tunnel consists of 4 waterproof laminate panels that are inserted into corresponding grooves in the two halves of the device, neatly covering the wall cutout and sealing it airtight. In addition to the tunnel panels, the tunnel set also includes sealing strips for an airtight design, 8 threaded rods for screw extension and an extension cable for the electronics.

    Door Contact

    petWALK door contact

    • The optional door contact is recommended for door installation. This ensures that the petWALK pet door remains closed when the entrance door is opened. If the entrance door is opened while the pet door is open, the petWALK pet door closes immediately. This prevents collisions.
    • The door-in-door cable is used to connect the pet door to an external opening contact. petWALK doors support all common door contacts (NC, NO).
    • The opening detector consists of a magnetic contact (reed) and a magnet. These are installed either parallel, face to face or orthogonally to each other - at a maximum distance of 13 mm. The circuit of this NO opening detector is open in the idle state. If the distance between the reed and the magnet increases, the circuit is interrupted and the petWALK door closes automatically and remains closed. The optimal installation location is the middle of your door or window frame.

    Connection Cable - Alarm Relay

    petWALK alarm cable
    • petWALK pet doors can be easily connected to an alarm system. For the alarm system, they behave just like a secured window. As long as the door is opened as intended, the petWALK pet door simulates a closed window, but if the door leaf is forced open, the door reports an open window. This means that your pets can continue their habits even when the alarm system is activated and your house remains secure.
    • If you order the alarm relay connection cable with your door, we will install all the necessary connections for an alarm system on the control electronics at the factory, so that you or your installation company can easily connect any wired alarm system to three wires that protrude from the device.
    • If you want to integrate the petWALK pet door into your alarm system at a later date, you can also install the cable yourself with a little skill.

    • For an invisible connection to the power supply, especially when installed in a wall, we recommend using the optional flush-mounted power supply unit. The power supply unit can be installed in a flush-mounted distribution box, in the meter box or directly in the tunnel cavity near the animal door.
